I ordered a Greek salad. I couldn't choose between a toss salad and the greek but it said the tossed salad had romaine and iceberg with some veggies and then the Greek had feta and olives. I guess I'm stupid to assume that for 9 dollars you would get something over than iceberg lettuce with canned black olives. I asked for the anchovies on the side. They never came. They reason they have to charge 9 dollars for this thing is because over half their bowl is filled with cheese. I had to go to their counter after being ignored to get some more lettuce to offset the cheese. I still walked out with a container to go of just cheese once we had added more lettuce.
We should have stopped here. But we didnt.
We ordered an eggplant paremesan sub and a spinach calzone. Nothing on their menu is cheap so I figured some amount quality in their food.
The spinach calzone on their other hand was filled with low quality, frozen spinach that wasn't even hot from baking (probably because it was mixed in frozen), and there was an "off" taste. I dont know if something had gone bad or something was allowed to sit out like them mayonnaise did, but I wouldn't eat this thing.
I guess when your the only place around, you can away with serving subpar food at above par prices.
With no where near in sight we decided to give this place a try. From the moment we walked in we should have known better, being the intelligent people we are, to walk right back out. Containers of mayonnaise were sitting out on all these tables at 3 pm and I imagine they had been sitting there since they beginning of lunch (11am when they opened). It was 4 when we left and there was no sign they were going to refrigerate these things.
They only thing I can say about their place is that they bathrooms were clean.
They eggplant sub was edible. They bread was actually decent. But the eggplant was overcooked and chewy and the tomato sauce, if homemade, is a sad, sad sauce.
I have been travelling around the country for the past year and this place takes the number #1 spot.... for literally being the worst meal I've eaten the entire time.
The food is not bad at all. In fact, a good deal of the menu items are quite good. However, the establishment has a waitress who is absolutely horrible. Poor attitude, worse service, dresses trashy and apparently can not be bothered to wear something that identifies her as a part of the business. When you call in an order, or try and get her attention away from her phone when you are dining in, she sighs, huffs, and puffs like she is performing a Herculean feat. I love this place, I do. But I don't order out if she answers the phone, and I walk out if she's working.
Good food, decent pricing. Shrimp scampi needs less lemon and more garlic.
We couldn't figure out if we were suppose to sit or go to the front to order. I wanted to look at a menu and there were some people at the front counter talking. I reached to grab a menu and was told if we were dinning in that she would bring the menu over. This wasnt like a sweet, "don't you worry" type of thing. Ashley seemed annoyed that I would even go to grab a menu to look. By the way, I only knew Ashley's name because another customer said it out loud. Never once did she personally tell us her name. In fact, I needed things several times. I tried to make eye contact, I waved her down once, and she diligently ignored us.
Food was good but when we ate in there was something that was burning all of our eyes (three 11 year old and three adults) no it wasn't in our heads. So we left pretty quickly.
Expensive food and every time I call the lady who answers is super rude and give smart ass responses
So against our better judgement, as we were listening to our stomachs instead of our brains, we entered in.
I read the story on their website about their family that owns this place and I feel very bad for them. I feel bad writing this review but they health dept needs to check this place out and the owners, if for some reason are not as present anymore, need to stop in and get this place under control.
